The Warapuru is a new lavish exclusive resort resort planned for opening in Brazil?s Bahia coast in mid-late 2007, designed by Anouska Hempel, designer to both the Hempel Hotel and Blakes Hotel in London), together with Rio’s famous architects Bernardes-Jacobsen. The modern eco-resort will be set on Itacar?’s “Engenhoca” Atlantic beach in the Brazilian rain forest and will consist of an elegant hotel with 40 pavilions and 21 private villas (with 3 to 6 bedrooms). Built areas range from 750 to 1500 m? (some 8000 to 16000 sq.ft.) on plots of around 5000m? – some 1.2 acres each. Each home will come completely furnished and finished, and will have a private butler to attend to the needs of owners and their guests.
According to Architectural Digest, Anouska Hempel describes the rain forest resort as a ?minimalist and monolithic state-of-the-art development? and as an example of her most visionary work.
