Completed in November 2006 on top of the nine-story, 1,825-space parking deck of the Blue Cross Blue Shield headquarters, the Parking Garage is the first LEED® Certified parking structure. The greenroof sports an area for employee walking and a 1/10 mile (160 m) jogging track made of recycled rubber paving. Built with recycled steel and concrete, and it also recycles rain and irrigation water. Pumped through a piping system to a 120,000 gallon tank underground, Blue Cross Blue Shield then uses it to water the landscaping.

As of May, 2013, this Blue Cross Blue Shield parking structure has the second largest greenroof in Michigan; it was the first greenroof in the city of Detroit.
