Green Roofs for Healthy Cities and the Green Roof Info Think-tank (GRiT) welcome you to the Urban Living Architecture Symposium on September 13, 2019 at the Billy Frank Jr Conference Center in Portland, Oregon.
Urban Living Architecture Symposium in Portland
Portland has long been a leader of sustainability and living architecture in the Pacific Northwest, and is located in close proximity to other prominent green infrastructure markets such as Seattle, and Vancouver. With the 2018 passage of the Portland Ecoroof Requirement, a component of the Portland Central City 2035 Plan, the city has taken dramatic steps towards making the Central City more vibrant, innovative, sustainable and resilient than it is today. Now is the opportunity to come learn the hows and whys of greening Cascadia.
Come learn from expert speakers from Portland and beyond such as Liz Morris from Henry Company, Kerry Ross from Green T Design, Matt Barmore from Greenrise Technologies, and many more on a variety of living architecture topics such as designing green roofs for high rise buildings, an overview of the new Portland Ecoroof Requirement, and a variety of local case studies.

~ GRiT and Green Roofs for Healthy Cities
GRiT is the Green Roof Info Think-tank
The Green Roof info Think-tank (GRiT) is a network of businesses, government agencies, non-profit organizations, researchers and community members joining together to grow the knowledge and use of green roofs in the Pacific NW. GRiT is a registered 501c-3 non-profit organization. We host monthly meetings, seasonal tours, lectures, community outreach efforts, and semi-annual green roof symposia, among many other fun events.
GRiT was established in 2009 by volunteers looking for ways to advance the green roof industry in Portland, Oregon and the Pacific Northwest. Over the following years, GRiT served as a forum for sharing research, building relationships, and promoting the green roof industry.
