Come to the World Green Infrastructure Congress 2017 in Berlin in June!

This year’s 2017 WGIC – World Green Infrastructure Congress – Designing with Nature will be held in historic and very green Berlin this June 20 – 22, organized by the Fachvereinigung Bauwerksbegrünung e.V. (FBB, Fachvereinigung Bauwerksbegrünung e.V.) with the support of WGIN (World Green Infrastructure Network) and the EFB (European Federation of Green Roof Associations).

“This year, Berlin will play host to the World Green Infrastructure Congress WGIC 2017 from June 20th-22nd, 2017 where more than 80 speakers will provide information about topics related to roof, facade and interior greening and the possibilities of applications.

A particular focus lies on the topics of sustainable building, rainwater usage, green space white paper by the German federal government, biological diversity, urban strategies in building greening, care and maintenance, cost-benefit considerations, and the future city, among others. On the third day, excursions take place to various reference properties in Berlin.” ~ WGIC 2017

WGIC 2017 Highlights:

– June 20th/21st: The two-day Congress will host over 80 Speakers in five rooms.

– June 22nd: Different Excursions to Green Buildings in Berlin will be offered.

– June 20th-23rd: Participate in the various Social Programs.

The WGIC 2017 says:

“Please apply your scientific poster contribution at the World Green Infrastructure Congress WGIC 2017 until March 31st, 2017. Besides scientific topics, various ideas of specific initiatives and strategies of greening buildings are desirable.”

Call for Awards:

Cities, architects, designers, project developers, system providers, executives, and others are invited to submit their particular projects, green roof strategies, and examples until March 31st, 2017.
