WGIC Berlin 2023 Highlights
Two days of Congress (in Berlin and online) plus one day of excursions await you in the hustle and bustle of Berlin. Presentations will be in German or English, with simultaneous translation provided for all lectures.
Spots for the accompanying program, including the dinner party (June 27th) and field trips (June 29th), are almost fully booked!
In addition to knowledge transfer and the demonstration of best practice examples, the focus will be on networking between participants, exhibitors, and speakers.
Organized by the German Association of Building Greening Bundesverband GebäudeGrün e.V. (BuGG), the World Green Infrastructure Congress 2023 has the support of international partners such as the World Green Infrastructure Network (WGIN), the European Federation of Green Roofs & Walls (EFB, Europäische Föderation der Bauwerksbegrünungsverbände e.V.), Association for Greening Buildings (VfB) and Swiss Professional Association for Building Greening (SFG) along with national partners Federal Association of Garden, Landscaping and Sports Field Construction (BGL) and Patzer Verlag, as well as 23 congress and 11 media partners.
Full program. Conference on the 1st and 2nd days
On June 27th and 28th 2023, five parallel sessions will present 90 lectures on current topics related to greening buildings (roofs, facades and interior greening) and their diverse and prospective applications. Topics will include climate adaptation strategies, sustainable building, rainwater management, biodiversity, urban strategies for greening buildings, architectural and practical examples.
The program is set – a total of over 100 speakers from 29 countries are expected!
A Brilliant Start for the Opening of the WGIC Berlin 2023
With the greetings of the Federal Minister for Housing, Urban Development and Building Klara Geywitz and the keynote speeches of the German architect Christoph Ingenhoven (who has set marks with the KöBogen 2 and Calwer Passage buildings, among others) and the world famous French botanist Patrick Blanc, there will be a brilliant start to the Congress on June 27, 2023 in Berlin.
Accompanying Exhibition with Poster Presentations
The exhibition is another highlight of the event as it will provide a great overview of various products, systems and services in the industry – and it’s almost fully booked with 60 exhibiting companies and associations. The accompanying exhibition is also special as approximately 60 poster presentations will be on hand for attendees to learn about various facets of research.
