Green Roofs and Facades – Trends and Synergies

The Green Roof Section of the Association for the Establishment and Maintenance of Greenery in cooperation with the Faculty of the Environment of the Czech University of Applied Sciences is organizing an international conference on Green Roofs and Facades – Trends and Synergies
Green roofs provide a number of benefits not only to the owner and user of the building, but also to society as a whole. It provides an efficient way of managing rainwater, heat savings, contributes to improving the microclimate of cities or reducing the urban heat island effect. Last but not least, it serves as an aesthetic element of the building or residence. Approaches to the greening of roofs in the world have been changing recently, new concepts such as biodiverse green roofs, biosolar green roofs, blue-green roofs are emerging. These new terms also correspond to new technologies and approaches to greening roofs and facades. The main goal of the conference is to increase the awareness of responsible representatives of municipalities and state administration officials in cities and municipalities, as well as the professional public, about new trends in the field of greening of roofs and walls of buildings,
The conference is intended for representatives of the state administration, local governments, designers, construction and gardening companies, developers.
