Epcot? theme park, one of four Theme Parks at Walt Disney World Resort, sprawls across 300 acres ? twice the size of the Magic Kingdom theme park ? and is divided into Future World and World Showcase.

Located in the Festival Center at Walt Disney World Resort, the interior EcoWall was created on February 27, 2011 as part of the 2011 Epcot? International Flower and Garden Festival and is on permanent display in the Park. The living wall serves a dual purpose for Disney's Epcot Food and Wine Festival and the Epcot International Flower and Garden Festival as well. A base pallet of 1300 tropical foliage and ferns adorn this living wall. During the Food and Wine Festival, annual pockets of edible plants (pineapple, dwarf banana trees, and citrus) are integrated as part of an interactive display to demonstrate unique space, saving solutions for urban farming.

The EcoWall, a sustainable living wall system, was used to create the Festival Center Green Wall. EcoWalls implements a unique and lightweight combination of inorganic growing medium into the design. The material is hydrophilic in nature, locking in moisture and nutrients, reducing the amount of resources required to sustain healthy plant growth. The EcoWall panels are 36"L x 5.5"W x 36" H. Growing medium is about 5.5" in depth. Total height of the living wall is approximately 40'L x 20'H, and guests walk through the living wall as the enter/exit the building.

The irrigation system was designed as a recirculating system and all excess water collects in two cisterns (sub- grade in the planting beds) where it is stored and redistributed. The system utilizes treated grey water to recharge, further reducing water consumption.
No supplimental lighting was required.
