The Westwood Nature Center was planted in April of 2002 with plants supplied by Green Roof Plants.
This project is constructed on a 4:12 pitch roof. It is an un-irrigated 5-inch Type I: Flower Carpet Roofmeadow? assembly that has been modified for this sloped roof application.

In addition to traditional Sedum roof varieties, this installation includes a selection of American native plants, including Phlox pilosa, Talinum calycinum, Antennaria neglecta, Tradescantia bracteata, Verbena canadense, and Potentilla arguta.
