It came out of the blue, but there’s no denying that we here at are very excited to share this news with our readership:

On July 17, 2013 Global Site Plans (GSP) released their second annual Top 20 International Landscape Architecture Websites 2013 and made it into the Top 10!

GSP says a mix of sites from last year’s list, along with new names – including, joined the ranks this year.

“We have searched through the world-wide web, near and far, to compile a brand new list that reveals where Landscape Architects are receiving and sharing information.  With the help of Alexa International Rankings, Global Site Plans found this select group to be the Top 20 International Landscape Architecture Websites for 2013.

Greenroofs enters our 2013 list at number 10…For those new to Greenroofs, their most popular section, “Greenroofs 101,” is a great place to start, as it provides thorough background information on the topic.  There are plenty of ways to learn more about the green roof movement on this site.” ~ Global Site Plans’s focus on greening the world’s roofs and façades is a perfect fit for landscape architecture professionals who strive to honor the environment through sustainable design.

We are very happy to have made the Top 10 List for 2013!  Being a member of the American Society for Landscape Architects (ASLA), I am especially proud of’s website presence among our profession.  In fact, landscape architects, along with architects, designers, and other greenroof professionals looking into including a vegetated roof or greenwall into their next sustainable project are our top demographic of international readers.

As we continue to grow, we’ll certainly strive harder to move up in position – check back next summer 2014 for our new ranking!

Living architecture requires multi-disciplinary teamwork and enjoys an equally diverse audience of allied professionals.
