The Papazian Building Expansion is located in Swarthmore College, Swarthmore, PA, completed in the summer of 2002. The un-irrigated roof utilized the Type II: Aromatic Garden Roofmeadow?, and is quite shallow with 2.5″ of engineered media on a thin fabricated drainage mat.

Partner Mary Holland, of CICADA Architecture/Planning, was also involved with this Engineering Storage Building at Swarthmore College. This building was designed and built with an extensive greenroof as part of the design concept. The plants were supplied by Emory Knoll Farms. The small greenroof is thriving, but because it is in deep shade much of the time, it is filling in more slowly than a roof would in full sun.
