JEWEL-OSCO, a leading Midwest food and drug retailer, continues its commitment to environmentally friendly building design with the opening of its second “green” store. The LEED certified grocery store with a greenroof is located inside the new Marshfield Commons commercial development center in Chicago.

The Marshfield location is Jewel-Osco’s second “green” store. The first LEED certified store opened in September of 2008 at 370 N. Desplaines, in Chicago’s Fulton River District.
