This 300 sq. ft. green roof sits atop a front porch addition to this Arlington residence. Visible from the street, this roof is a good example of stormwater management and aesthetic plant diversity in a small scale residential setting.

195 pods were filled with expanded slate and mushroom compost, and planted by the homeowners with 17 varieties of succculent and bulbs. The planted pods were carried through the house and out a dormer window onto the porch roof on December 23, 2005. System components were supplied by Building Logics.
