Building materials obtained within a 500-mile radius and incorporating recycled matter,
Energy efficient HVAC systems featuring sensors that activate based on the number of people in the store,
Energy efficient lighting,
Non-ozone-depleting refrigerants in cooling equipment,
Refrigerant leak detection monitors.
Ninety-eight percent of construction debris was recycled, the store also said," (GreenerBuildings, 2008).
