This building provides an example of an intensive greenroof system. Sustainability was critical to the design of this building and included:
? Arranging the building forms to harmonise with the site profile. They were also arranged to optimize solar exposure as well as prevailing winds ? Keeping the building footprint as small as possible to minimize disturbances to the existing slope ? Arranging all building blocks to avoid felling existing mature trees ? Providing Roof-gardens and landscaped terraces which compensate for the trees felled. |

| The two-story complex included; 8 laboratories for conducting a wide range of veterinary experiments, 2x level-three bio-safety laboratories (with supporting facilities to handle animal carcasses and to perform post-mortem operations) and office accommodation and ancillary facilities for staff and technicians. |
