The owner of this building, an enthusiastic golfer, had an extravagant idea for the utilization of its 1400 m2 roof. Almost the entire flat roof was been turned into a golf course by the architectural firm of Giese + Giese. From the outside, no one would guess how the roof was being used!

A ZinCo intensive greenroof system was chosen. During construction, the Floradrain elements protected the waterproofing. Since the roof also includes various water features, the drainage and protection layers under the water basins extend completely to the roof edge where excess water drains to the outlets. It is obvious that this lawn requires high maintenance and has to be kept short. The selected build-up with Floradrain FD 60 ensures that the lawn can be driven on with lawn mowing machines.
