|Completed in the spring of 2004, the new green-roofed public access plaza atop the classical Central Library is a key element in the downtown revitalization of Kansas City, MO. Engineered by Roofscapes, Inc. (now Roofmeadow, and installed by Lichtenfels Nurseries on the 5th-floor roof, the mixed-use plaza integrates 7,500 sf of pedestal pavers with a complex greenroof that features a range of native plant environments. Plant zones range from Roofscapes, Inc. Type III: Savannah wetland to prairie to Type IV: Meadow 1 tree-bearing upland grasses, with profile depths ranging from 8 to 16 inches.|
