| The Union Bank of Switzerland (UBS) merged with Swiss Bank Corporation in 1998 to become UBS AG. This intensive greenroof system shows ingenuity on the part of the owner and the architect, Burckhardt Architects. The offices below this area were originally covered by a concrete slab roof, which was opened up by incorporating moveable slabs. Greenroofs were then installed over the entire area. The retractable slabs were developed as planters to blend into the design of the surrounding greenroof. By retracting the slabs during the day, daylight is allowed into the offices below. |

| The ZinCo Floradrain FD 60 build-up system was used. |
