|"ELE de La Floresta" is a luxury apartment complex of 38 units of 3 and 4 bedrooms in Zone 7 of Guatemala City. |
The ELE de La Floresta green roof serves as an amenity space for the residents of the complex. The project includes a large expanse of grass for relaxing and playing, plant beds filled with native and adapted plants, and a water garden at the entrance of the complex.
Play surfaces, chalk boards, and flowering vines are all part of the design. The green roof serves the same purpose as a courtyard, but also helps to efficiently manage stormwater and lower the ambient temperature.
|The dual media assembly is composed of twelve inches of media, which provides a habitat for native plants and grasses. The courtyard landscape is irrigated with a base flood irrigation system on PVC waterproofing. Roofmeadow provided the landscape, architectural, and engineering design.|
