|Construction of the Gaithersburg Library is expected to be complete in Summer 2013, with re-opening about 6 to 8 weeks later in Fall 2013. Partial funding for this project was provided by the County Library Capital Grant Program, Maryland State Department of Education, Division of Library Development and Services.|
Completed in July, 2013, the new library green roof in Gaithersburg, MD is designed with a performing Green roof system that retains more than 1 inch of rain. The Hydropack green roof tray system from Vegetal i.D. will provide some insulation to the building which will decrease energy spends.
|The Hydropack green roof system was installed on top of a TPO waterproofing membrane from Carlisle SynTec.|
