From an undulating roof alive with succulents to ripples on the creek by its feet, h2hotel is rooted in nature and fluid by design. Built to LEED Gold green building certification, all aspects in form and function at h2 take an eco-friendly view that?s all about you.

"h2 was designed to have a gentle effect on the surrounding area. The "green roof" filters rainwater to reduce the impact on Healdsburg?s storm-drain system and neighboring Foss Creek; it also reduces the amount of heat the hotel gives off, to prevent disturbing the local microclimate," (h2hotel website, see below).

Completed on June 30, 2010, the clients chose a Sempergreen pre-vegetated mat as the vegetation option for the greenroof, which is undulating with parts over a 3:12 slope. The h2hotel was awarded 2010 Hospitality Top Project in the North Bay by North Bay Business Journal on December 8, 2010.
