| This unique project includes a lower roof with a semi-intensive green roof system planted with species native to Southeastern US, and an upper roof with an extensive green roof planted with Sedums and other succulents. The owner wanted as little impact on the wooded lot thus incorporating a green roof to reduce stormwater runoff. |
|
| The lower roofs are accessible to the owner and were planted with native perennials in 6 inches of growing medium. Some areas have been used to grow fruits and vegetables such as lettuce, ochra, strawberries, beans, etc. The upper roof was planted with a mix of Sedum and other drought hardy perennials in 4 inches of growing medium. |
