Completed on October 1, 2003, this 450 sf second-storey greenroof was designed as a high-end, outdoor room that features a custom-crafted, locust trunk pergola and an inlayed slate patio. This project was part of a environmentally-sensitive home addition designed by Helicon Works Architecture. This greenroof was featured in American Gardener Magazine.

| This greenroof was multiply-sourced to save on cost. A custom locust-trunk pergola was constructed and installed on the membrane. The pergola supports do not penetrate the membrane, but rather are designed laterally and buried within the greenroof. Irregular slate tiles were layed in by hand to create the patio area. Nine species of sedum, plus thyme and chives were planted into the greenroof and in between slate tiles. |
