The Mercedes House, New York, is an important new residential development that is changing the cityscape forever. From Two Trees Management Company and visionary architect Enrique Norten of Ten Arquitectos comes a luxury rental complex spiraling 30 stories above the city with unobstructed views of the Hudson River.
“Mercedes House is a breakthrough design by architect Enrique Norten that has recast the New York skyline. In his vision, Norten created a zigzag footprint and a silhouette of cascading green roof terraces that allow for unobstructed views of Clinton Park and the Hudson River. It is a game-changer in its interpretation of twisting glass and steel that reveals itself anew from every angle. Mercedes House is the linchpin of the Clinton Park community.” ~ Mercedes House
Completed on June 24, 2011, the greenroof system used on Mercedes House was the Roofmeadow Type I with 3.5 inches of media; it is unirrigated. Read about the rest of the project’s Green Living amenities here.
