“The nearly $25-million Futures Inn hotel and conference centre at the southwest corner of the Stone Road and Gordon Street intersection is still empty of the green roof, where plants take the place of shingles. It’s likely one of the last touches to the building, which is now set to open its doors in late November.” See the guelphmurcury.com article link below. Lloyd Grinham, architect of the new Futures Inn Hotel and Conference Centre designed rainwater collection from the main section of the hotel roof for irrigation of the hotel’s plants and gardens. The hotel is set to feature a 5,000-square-foot greenroof on the main story of the six-story structure.
