Both extensive and semi-intensive living roofs were installed as well as a 20 x 22’green wall in the main lobby. The project required about 140 cubic yards of rooflite? Extensive MC, 40 cubic yards of rooflite? Semi-Intensive, and 120 cubic yards of rooflite? Drain. “Rainwater that runs off the largest section of non-vegetated roof runs down four rain chains into a cistern and then into a 10,000-gallon tank. That water is filtered and run back into the building to flush the toilets, run through the living wall and, if necessary, irrigate the gardens,” (Osburn, 2009).Two stories high, the living wall is one of the largest in the Philadelphia area and spans the entire length of the wall.
