North Carolina, and specifically the Piedmont Triad region (including Greensboro, Winston-Salem, and High Point), now have the opportunity to reap the multiple benefits of greenroofs.  Piedmont Together, a HUD-funded project involving local and regional agencies, is creating a sustainable development plan for the future of the region.  Now is the time to make sure that living roofs are a key solution that is discussed.  With many vegetated roof companies already represented in North Carolina, and the steady growth of the industry in-state, Piedmont Triad is poised for huge growth in greenroofs.

Many of our colleagues will be here, and Speakers Include:

David Yocca, FASLA/AICP/LEED AP, Principal Landscape Architect/Planner at Conservation Design Forum and Chair of GRHC’s Technical Standards Committee:
“Living Architecture- High-Performance Green Roof/Wall Systems for Multiple Benefits”

Clayton Rugh, PhD, Manager & Scientific Director for Xero Flor America:
“Durham NC Green Roof Case Study: Local Sourcing, Watershed Protection, and Global Climate Change”

Charles Friedrich, MLA, GRP, Director of Horticulture Research & Product Development for Carolina Stalite Company:
