Presented by Green Roofs for Healthy Cities, the CitiesAlive: 15th Annual Green Roof and Wall Conference is issuing a Call for Proposals. Would you like to present your ideas, research, and/or projects? Do so to share and promote your work to the North American industry association, members, and colleagues!
Held at the Sheraton Seattle Hotel in beautiful Seattle, WA on September 18 – 21, 2017 the theme of CitiesAlive this year is building resilience and equity across Cascadia: people, community and places.
The Pacific Northwest of North America, known as Cascadia, is a land of stunning natural beauty with loads of green infrastructure worthy of boast and surely a region from which to learn. And Seattle in the fall is simply sublime and coupled with great food, sightseeing, and warm, engaging, and environmentally conscious people, you can’t go wrong!
Green Roofs for Healthy Cities will explore the science behind greenroof and wall performance, technology and design.
“Specifically, the proposals we are looking for will focus on how green roof and walls provide benefits for the entire Cascadia region, including:
• Improved physical and mental health and well-being
• Increased resilience to climate change and extreme weather
• Improved water quality in Puget Sound and Cascadia’s other water bodies
• Improved aesthetics and quality of life
• Enhanced social justice
Proposals of innovative design, policy and research from outside of the Cascadia region are also welcomed.” ~ Green Roofs for Healthy Cities
Proposals are due on Friday, March 17, 2017.
