President Clinton imagined a park that would attract the local community as well as visitors from around the world to the Clinton Presidential Center, offering a space where families could come and enjoy the natural beauty along the Arkansas River. Using the Tremco vegetative roofing system, the 14,000 sf greenroof is located over a section of library devoted to presidential artifacts which doubles as a garden area and putting green for former President Clinton’s personal office and residence, irrigated by KISSS America.  More than 150 species include Arkansas bluestar, a perennial with needlelike leaves and blue flowers, and butterflyweed, a shrubby perennial with star-shaped orange flowers that attracts butterflies.  Supplied by Emory Knoll Farms/Green Roof Plants, Saul Nurseries, and others, over 90 species of plants were initially planted in approximately four truck loads of lightweight engineered growing media from ItSaul Natural.
