2017 Projects of the Week

In 2017 we highlighted some inspiring and wonderful greenroofs and greenwalls from across the globe.  Many different types were showcased, some with both features included.  Additional green infrastructure elements in the projects incorporated were:

38 Dolores in San Francisco and LABAU (Bioclimatic Architecture and Urban Agriculture Laboratory) in Madrid.

Bioretention ponds, underground cisterns and more water harvesting techniques, water recycling systems, daylighting, solar and other alternative, renewable energy technologies, edible and stormwater gardens, and more.

It’s heartening to see developers, governments, and building owners listening to environmentally progressive architects and designers.  The collaborative efforts are not only proposing projects that are more holistically designed, but getting them built as well.  Kudos to all!
