The Rail Deck Park is a proposed urban park that will enclose the current active Railway Lanes in Toronto and when constructed, will be 21 acres. Craig Applegath will discuss the planning and design process that was done in partnership with a group of a group of 15 graduate students from Carleton University’s Azrieli School of Architecture & Urbanism at DIALOG’s Toronto studio. Students worked alongside DIALOG architects, engineers, and urban planners ensuring a multidisciplinary approach, designed by those who are passionate about the future of Toronto.

The Rail Deck Park has the potential to significantly improve community well-being by reconnecting isolated neighbourhoods and create a downtown environment where people will live play and work.

Exploring the Lowline – New York’s first underground park: Lessons from the Lowline Lab
