Under construction, this central patio of bluestone will support a fountain that will provide water for visiting birds.

With funding provided by the Office of the New York State Attorney General and the New York State Department of Environmental Conservation through the Greenpoint Community Environmental Fund, during the Kingsland Wildflower Festival the public will be able to enjoy interactive activities for folks of all ages and:

“…explore three roofs that have been planted with a combination of native grasses and wild flowers while enjoying panoramic views of Manhattan, Brooklyn, Queens and Newtown Creek.

The event will also offer the chance for visitors to engage with partner organizations working on green infrastructure and environmental sustainability programs in North Brooklyn. There will be food, beer and music as well as activities and learning opportunities for children and families.” ~ Kingsland Wildflowers
