The World Green Infrastructure Congress (WGIC) is an annual international event organized by country members of WGIN – the World Green Infrastructure Network –  on urban green infrastructure which provides social, environmental and economical benefits through sustainable greening systems such as green roofs, living walls, urban forests, landscape regeneration, wetland renewal and water sensitive urban design practices.

Aramis and I have been fortunate to be able to attend previous WGIN congresses in Mexico City (2010), Hangzhou (2012), Nantes (2013), and most recently last year in Sydney.  Beautiful Nagoya is the site for 2015 and the organizers hope you will join them!

The agenda and tours information for the WGIN Congress Nagoya 2015 (WGIC 2015) have been finalized and are available for your perusal!  Organized by WGIN NAGOYA in cooperation with the NPO Sky Front Forum, the upcoming WGIC 2015 will be held in Nagoya on October 14-16, situated in the very center of Japan.  Getting to anywhere in Japan is easy from Nagoya.

Presented simultaneously translated into both English and Japanese, the three-day 2015 Congress in Nagoya will provide international and national keynote experts presenting on new research, case studies, best practice management, and the latest technologies in this expanding industry.

A wide variety of green site tours including visits to greenroofs and greenwalls will be offered after the WGIC 2015 on October 15 and 16 in the cities of Nagoya, Tokyo, and Osaka, and promise to be both educational and fun.

Since the annual National Green Fair of Japan will be held during the same period as the WGIC 2015, all of the international speakers and attendees will be able to also visit this highly anticipated yearly venue at at the Expo 2005 Aichi Commemorative Park, running concurrent from September 12 to November 8, 2015.
