Project Description & Details

Developed, designed, constructed and property managed by DDG, 41 BOND is a small boutique residential building situated in Manhattan’s exclusive Noho district, steps away from Soho, Greenwich Village, the East Village, and Nolita. Elegant residences consist of townhomes with floor-through residences and duplexes with extensive landscaped exteriors. Integrating historic details with modern design innovations, each home in the 8-story luxury residential building offers open living spaces with abundant natural light and 32-foot long landscaped balconies for private outdoor space.

Working on an interdisciplinary team led by DDG, Future Green Studio provided landscape design and installation for the building façade, entrance canopy, a rear garden, a patio garden, extensive green roof and several landscaped terraces. Each of these pieces was carefully articulated to be seamlessly interwoven with the architecture rather than functioning as separate, disparate elements. Using several growing media blends from rooflite®, plantings from the deep set window boxes and parapet planters – plus the building’s top-floor greenroof and its small street-level cantilevered marquee – reveal how 41 BOND celebrates nature inside and out and is a welcome respite from the city’s dense built environment.
